The single most common question we get on WhatsApp is: "How much commission will I actually get?" The honest answer is: it depends on your agency's performance, and it changes monthly. Here's exactly how the system works.
The tier structure
Agent commission on Poppo Live runs from 4% at the entry level up to 20% at the top tier. Your percentage applies to the earnings your hosts generate — mainly from gifts sent by viewers during streams. If your hosts collectively earn $5,000 in a month and you're on the 12% tier, your commission is $600 before any bonuses.
How the monthly review works
At the end of each month, the platform reviews your agency's performance and assigns next month's tier. The main factors are:
- Total host earnings — the biggest driver. More gift revenue across your agency means a higher tier.
- Number of active hosts — agencies with more consistently-streaming hosts are rated higher than agencies carried by one star host.
- Streaming hours — hosts hitting their weekly hour targets (typically 10+ hours/week) keep your agency in good standing.
- Growth — adding new active hosts month over month is rewarded.
What moves you up a tier
From what we've seen across hundreds of agencies, the fastest reliable path up the tiers is breadth over dependence: ten hosts earning $300 each is far safer and usually rated better than one host earning $3,000. Diversified agencies survive a host leaving; single-star agencies collapse and drop tiers instantly.
What makes agencies drop tiers
- Hosts going inactive (below minimum streaming hours)
- Falling below 5 active hosts
- Any fraud flags — fake recharge, self-gifting loops, coin manipulation
- A sharp month-over-month drop in total host earnings
Don't forget the money beyond commission
Commission is your base income, but active agencies stack several other streams on top: ranking rewards up to $180/day for leaderboard agencies, host invitation bonuses up to $14 per activated host, sub-agent invite rewards, and seasonal event pools during festivals and PK tournaments. For many mid-size agencies these extras add 20–40% on top of base commission.
Protecting your rate: three habits
- Track weekly, not monthly. Check every host's hours each week so nobody silently goes inactive before the review.
- Always be recruiting. Keep a pipeline of 2–3 prospective hosts so a departure never drops you below the minimum.
- Stay clean. One fraud flag can cost you your tier — or your whole agency. Never touch fake recharge schemes, no matter who offers them.
